The victim is called Kwame, because, he was born on Saturday, but, the surname “Bobosi” is the name of a river god in Assin Dansame. He is now referred to as Kwame Bobosi because, Assin Bereku residents believe he’s a product of River Bobosi,

Information gathered from family members has it that, the father of the young man, refused to take responsibility of the child, after realising that, he has certain form of disability.

Speaking to Adom News, the senior brother of the victim, Kofi Mensah, explained that, Kwame Bobosi, would have been killed long ago, but, his mother, Esi Gyawa, could not afford the list of items she was given by a deity she consulted for support, therefore, Kwame had to be left off the hook.

Akua Aya, a resident of Assin Bereku Domeabra, takes us through, the kind of ritual one had to undertake, before they get rid of a child with special need known as “Nsuo ba” in Akan palace.

The living condition of Kwame Bobosi, is very disturbing. He has been quarantined in a dilapidated wooden structure, located in outskirt of Assin Bereku Domeabra. Some residents of Assin Bereku Domeabra, spoke to Adom News, about the living condition of the victim.

Meanwhile, Nana Amoamah, an uncle of the victim explained that, Kwame Bobosi was separated from the family because, their rent expired and they had no option than to cage him. We did it without malicious intention, but, rather, to save him from public ridicule and harm he said.
