Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak, who is currently on a mission to break the record for the longest cooking marathon has been given GH₵30,000 in donations by the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
This exciting announcement was made during a press conference held at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, where the marathon is currently taking place.

Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak Begins Cook-a-thon
Chef Falila has officially begun her cook-a-thon journey at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale and is scheduled to end on January 5, 2024.
Her goal is to surpass Alan Fisher from Ireland, who broke Hilda Baci’s record with an impressive time of 119 hours and 57 minutes. Chef Failatu is leaving no stone unturned as she aims to cook for 120 hours.
The cook-a-thon has not only captured the attention of food enthusiasts but has also gained support from influential political figures.
Tamale South MP Haruna Iddrisu, Tamale Central MP Murtala Mohammed, and Minister of State in Charge of Finance Dr Mohammad Amin Adam have all made appearances at the venue to show their unwavering support and encouragement.
In addition to political figures, the event has also attracted renowned personalities from the creative arts sector.
