Following concerns from doctors, Buckingham Palace declared on September 8, 2022, that Queen Elizabeth was receiving medical attention at Balmoral Castle.

“Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral,” a statement read.

Her death, however, was confirmed that evening.
