Watch: Police and military prevent NDC women wing from massing up at the EC HQ, women fight back

The police and the military had to prevent the women wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from massing up at the Electoral Commission (EC) headquarters today to protest.

These women were at the Electoral Commission headquarters in Accra today to express their displeasure over the election results declaration by Jean Mensa yesterday.

According to the persistent women, they believe the election results as declared by the EC is not a true reflection of who Ghanaians voted for. Following that, these women who were clad in party headgears and armbands massed up at the office of the EC to demand redress.

The police and military did not allow them a gathering space as they push the adamant crowd way with force. These women who fought back at this security personnel defensively were left with no option than to leave the precincts of the EC disappointed.

Meanwhile, the NDC has rejected the declaration of Nana Akufo-Addo as the president-elect of Ghana as far as the just ended electioneering exercise is concerned.
