Given the turmoil the country is presently going through characterized by the high cost of living, Efia Odo has shared her opinion about the state of affairs in a new tweet.

Known for going political with most of her posts lately designed to affect a change in our chaotic system, Efia said Ghana gained independence rather too early.

The former Kwese Sports presenter suggested that the black is not capable of managing his own affairs- contrary to Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s famous quote on the day of independence.

In her words, the black man abuses the least power he gets for which reason the whites should have lorded over us for a long period.

She posted; “We gained our independence too early! Never give a black man power, he’ll just misuse it.”

@EnochEcho2 – Same thing I keep saying, if the British were to colonize us more like how they did to SA, like by now we are 80% developed, sorry to say but gaining the independence was not worth it

@shaibu_Labari – To me Ghana under colonial rule was better and safer than this HELL.. There’s freedom of speech but not freedom after speech, this is slavery in disguise!

@ealehn – There is always a bad side to every event. We have come so far as a country. We are doing better than most of the African countries. One day, another Nkrumah (I am sure it will be a lady) will rise again and transform the country. Our motherland will wear it rightful clothe soon
