The management of UTV has denied rumours that, the host for one of their most popular shows on tv, Afia Schwarznegger has been sacked by the tv station.
The show has been off air for about 3 months now and it became apparent that, indeed she had been sacked especially when she picked up a new job as host of the mid-morning show of Kasapa FM in Accra.
Her appointment coincided with the radio station coincided with her absence from the UTV screens and sort of gave a seeming credibility to talks that she has been sacked from the tv station..
“Afia Schwarzenegger is still part of the UTV family. We have not sacked her and she continues to remain part of us. Her programme, ‘Kokooko’, was taken off air for restricting [sic]. The show is on a temporal hold and would soon be brought back on TV,” a management source told NEWS-ONE.
Her show which was a satire one angered many who became victims of her potty mouth each time she hosted the show. The nature of the show made it popular and with her persona, she was able to attract many viewers even when most people hated the show for obvious reasons.
