After waiting for several days to hear from President Muhammadu Buhari over the crisis happening in Nigeria, he has finally spoken and unfortunately for him, his comments was met some negative reactions from netizens.
Buhari’s reaction to the ongoing police brutality and killing of protestors in Nigeria was to advise neighboring countries to stop interfering in matters they have no knowledge about.
He also advised various stakeholders to stop being judgemental and making hasty pronouncements.
Reacting to this, some Nigerians stated that Buhari was the problem they are facing and that he needs to resign.
He was also seen as a President who didn’t care about the well being of his people.
Funny enough, when concerned Ghanaians called on Nana Akuffo Addo who also doubles as the ECOWAS Chairman to help Nigerians, he was met with some negative comments from Nigerians who asked him to mind his business.
President Nana Addo has Tweeted that the people of Nigeria especially the youth should protest in a more calmer way which didn’t seem to sit well with them.
Well, now that they have heard from their own President, Mr Buhari, they are unhappy. At the end of the day, we hope and pray that peace is restored in Nigeria.
