There is a massive uproar coming in from Nigerians over their displeasure and regret over the political governance and administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
This collective expression of disdain from Nigerians come on the back of a statement Buhari has made, which suggests that he is inciting a genocide attack on the people of Biafra.
Remember, Biafra was a secessionist state that finally joined Nigeria in 1970 following the infamous genocide war that claimed thousands.
In the wake of herdsmen killing natives and some individuals and groups agitating for the succession of Biafra from Nigeria, President Buhari issued a statement where he said he has a way of dealing with them.
According to his statement, he was a genocide soldier during the war some years ago and understands how brutal force can be replicated to stop the agitating people. A statement which many Nigerians have considered as useless, irrelevant and a betrayal of trust in political leadership.
Buhari had tweeted:
I receive daily security reports on the attacks on critical national infrastructure, and it is very clear that those behind them want this administration to fail. Whoever wants the destruction of the system will soon have the shock of their lives. We’ve given them enough time.
I have assured INEC that we will make available to them everything they need to operate efficiently, so that no one will say we don’t want to go, or that we want a third term. There will be no excuse for failure. We will meet all of INEC’s demands.
In the area of security, we have changed the Service Chiefs and the Inspector-General, and we are demanding that they rise fully to the challenges confronting us. There must be zero tolerance for all those bent on destroying our country by promoting crime and insurrection!
Note: Part of the statement which contained the sensitive message of genocide was reported to Twitter and has been taken down. And as a result, all the reactions are gone too.
Remember that already there is a section of Nigerians who believe President Buhari had died a long time ago and they are being led by a clown president who has disguised himself to deceive the people.
Many believe Buhari has failed Nigeria and has lost touch with reality. They also believe his grips on the security of the nation is nonexistent while his leadership is just nothing to write home about.
They believe Nigeria is a failed state because they have a president who is insensitive to the plights of citizens and has failed continuously to address pertinent issues of national concern.
Nigerians believe having President Buhari as their president is a result of bad decision and regret to be citizens under his leadership.
