Rapture is one of the biggest topics in Christianity.  It is believed that rapture is an en time event when all Christian believers who are alive, along with resurrected believers, will rise “in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air.” This statement is evident in Paul’s epistle in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 which reads After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. But what does the Bible really say about the rapture? Let’s find out.

What Does The Bible Say About Rapture?

In I Thessalonians 4:13-18, the Bible talks about the second coming of Jesus Christ. What happens is that those who died believing in Jesus will rise from the dead. It further continues to say that those who are alive will also rise to meet the Lord who will be coming in the skies.

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

However, not all Christians believe that rapture will happen. But the most important thing is that Christians all over the world are waiting for the return of Jesus. But whether people will have to meet him in the skies is still debatable.
