Lent is 40 days observed by Christians across the world between Ash Wednesday and Easter. The name Lent originated from the “Old English lencten springtime, spring” and “from West Germanic langitinaz long-days or lengthening of the day.”

During this period, most Christians fast and focus on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a period of repentance

The next Lent will start on 22nd February 2023 (Wednesday) and end on 6th April 2023 (Thursday).

Which Christians Observe The Lent?

It is mostly observed by most Catholics. It is also observed by Protestants. However, there is no limit on who can. You can include on your normal calendar and partake when the time is up.

What To Do During The Lent?

As already explained, this period is about concentration on Jesus and the sacrifice he gave on the cross. The following are some of the things to do during this period.
