"When you win an election, you don't need to be aggressive" – President Akufo-Addo speaks

President Akufo-Addo has spoken to the civil unrest that has characterized the impending declaration of election results by the Electoral Commission (EC) as far as the 2020 Election is concerned.

In a Facebook post, the president addressed NPP supporters and urged them to remain calm and wait on the EC to declare the election results.

According to the president, they (NPP) do not have to be aggressive as it shows that they are on the sure path to winning the election.

He wrote:

Dear NPP Supporter,
When you win an election, you don’t need to be aggressive.
Be of good character and wait for the Electoral Commission to declare.
And when you jubilate, be moderate and sensitive to public order and safety.
