The aftermath of DJ Switch’s win at the just-ended Ghana DJ Awards has been overwhelming with critics saying that the 12-year old girl doesn’t deserve the most coveted award.
Erica Armah Bra-Bulu Tandoh, widely known as DJ Switch on Saturday night at the Accra International Conference Center beat competition from renowned DJ’s like DJ Mic-Smith, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Sly, DJ Aroma and DJ Black to win the overall best DJ award.
Since her win, netizens have claimed that she only won the award because Mercury Quaye who happens to be the organiser for the event is one of her management members.
Many are of the view that the definition of the award category was twisted to suit the young gurl to win the coveted award.
In this has Ghanaian actor John Dumelo quizzed why everyone is against the young girl winning big at the Ghana DJ event.
In a post on Twitter, John asked: “But why is everyone beefing Dj switch?”

I think the little girl at 12 years of age has done much to her own strengths to merit the award. Unfortunately these haters had no clue where their passion and mission was when they were 12yrs old. Maybe some were still wetting their beds and hunting crabs. ??

Are you telling me that you need to be attached to a radio/TV station before you're acknowledged as a disc jockey.
