Boris Klaiman, a Ukrainian-born footballer, who played as a goalkeeper for the Greek Super League club Volos, and represented the Israel national team, was arrested outside a bar in the Kolonaki region of Athens on 11 April 2023, for allegedly sexually assaulting a young Belgian female. In addition, he was found to be carrying 1.5 grams of heroin at the time of his arrest. As a result of the incident, his contract with the club was terminated immediately.

Klaiman began his football career in the youth system of Hapoel Tel Aviv as a child and played for Hapoel Kfar Saba before making his debut for the first team in 2008. He later returned to Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he was loaned to Maccabi Herzliya serving as the second goalkeeper for Nigerian star Vincent Enyeama. Klaiman was part of the squad team that won the double at the end of the 2010-2011 season and went on loan to Hapoel Kfar Saba in the summer of 2010 to gain more playing time.

Klaiman returned to Hapoel Tel Aviv as a second goalkeeper for Apoula Edel in the summer of 2011 and played in eight games that season. He won the Israel State Cup with the team at the end of the season and played ten games in the 2012-2013 season. Klaiman was the second goalkeeper at Hapoel Tel Aviv in the summer of 2013, but after the third round, he played impressively when Danny Amos was injured, and even got called up to the Israel national football team’s squad.

Klaiman later signed a three-year contract with Beitar Jerusalem in August 2014 and made his debut for the club on 13 August 2014. He saved a penalty against his former team Hapoel Tel Aviv in a 2-0 victory on 27 October 2014 but left Beitar Jerusalem on 22 May 2018. He then signed with Cypriot side Enosis Neon Paralimni FC for an undisclosed fee in July 2018, before moving to Super League Greece club Volos F.C. on 1 August 2020.

At the youth international team, Klaiman played from under-18 to under-21, earning 21 appearances. He was then called up for the senior Israeli squad for their matches against Portugal and Northern Ireland on 4 October 2013 and made his senior debut for Israel in a friendly match against Croatia on 23 March 2016.
