Given the high spate of rituals in Nigeria which involves women’s menstrual blood, Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has offered what seems like a partial remedy to halt the phenomenon.
In a post Halima shared on social media which has resonated with her female fans, the thespian said ladies should start washing their pad to get rid of the blood before disposing it.
Alternatively, she said they should bury it deep into the earth near their abode to outwit the ritualists who hunt for their sanitary pads after use.
In a post that has since sparked a massive reaction, Halima wrote; ”Start washing out your blood from your pad. Sounds dirty but It saves lives or if you have a pit, good for you, take care of your blood.”

Her first lead role was in Gangster Paradise.
