Boys Abre actor Abraham Kofi Davies better known as Salinko who suffered an embarrassing defeat in the December 2016 general election has vowed to come back stronger in the next general election.
“Next four years, I will contest again to achieve my aim. So Ghanaians should watch out for me. People have been asking if I would go on the ticket of the PPP again. Once I have highlighted the condition to be a politician as an actor, if god permits in the next four years I will go again for PPP. I will join the PPP to move forward,” the comic actor said.
It will be recalled that in the build to the election lots of celebrities vied for parliamentary seats on the tickets of the three leading political parties. However majority of them were defeated in a humiliating manner. The Progressive People’s Party, the party that Salinko represented predictably performed abysmally in both the parliamentary and presidential election.
Reacting to that, Salinko said, “Although I did not win and Paa Kwesi Nduom did not win too, we are happy there was peaceful election. I want to thank Ghanaians for that feat.”
