After threatening to sue Nigerian superstar Wizkid for stealing his song, veteran Ghanaian rapper, Tic, formerly Tic Tac has acted upon his word.

Yesterday Tic made it known in an interview with Andy Dosty that he will be dragging Nigerian superstar, Wizkid to court over copyright infringement.

According to Tic, the Nigerian singer sampled his 2004 hit song ‘Fefe Ne Efe’ in his verse on DJ Tunez’s song titled ‘Gbese’ without giving him the necessary credit.

In court documents sighted online, it appears Tic and Tony Tetuila even sued Wizkid in August 2019 but Wizkid and his team refused to sort things out with them.

Per the court documents, Tic and Tony Tetuila are “jointly seeking damages worth millions of naira, 35% of revenues accrued from ‘Gbese’”.
