Burna Boy has acknowledged the impact of Wizkid during the formative period of his music life.

Often seen as rivals together with mainstream act Davido, the African Giant as he’s affectionately called said Wizkid was already a household name when he moved to Lagos from Port Harcourt.

In his words, around 2011/201 when he moved to Lagos and released his break-out single, ‘Like To Party’ Wizkid was supportive and took him out to nice clubs.

Burna Boy, a proud recipient of the Grammy Award and other international awards in recent times spoke effusively about his colleague for welcoming him to the city before anyone else.

Likewise, award-winning American singer, Chris Brown has shockingly revealed that Nigerian superstar Wizkid has been his friend for over a decade.

We say shockingly in this context because Chris Brown is a big star yet Wizkid has not made a whimper about this or revels in the fact that he’s a friend to such a huge personality as opposed to how some other artistes behave.

The two recently joined forces on a potential banger and while Breezy was talking about it in a recent interview, he made the information mentioned above known to the public.

In his words, Wizkid has been his friend for more than 15 years, and though they have had playful studio sessions in the past.

Brown also revealed that their collab Call Me Every Day is the first ever track they have recorded officially and he feels that it’s amazing the world gets to see them make great music.
