Two mainstream American rappers Joe Budden and Nicki Minaj have backed Wizkid to grab a Grammy award with his smash hit ‘Essence’ which features Tems.

It was Joe who initiated the conversation when he had a podcast with Nicki Minaj saying officials on the Grammy Board need to recognize Essence as the Song Of The Year at the 2022 Grammys.

Joseph Anthony Budden II is an American media personality and former rapper. He first gained recognition as a rapper with his 2003 top 40 single “Pump It Up” and as a member of the hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse.

Nicki couldn’t agree the more and proceeded to add it’s high time the black community also came up with their own Grammy board in order to give artistes the recognition they deserve.
