It’s an undeniable fact that Tema-based rapper, Yaa Pono started music over a decade ago but still anonymous. On records, Yaa Pono started music before Sarkodie hit the limelight but unfortunately, he’s still struggling to make a good name for himself in Ghana music industry.

The artiste in question has produced a countless number of songs including an album christened, “Faster Than gods“, sadly no single track off the album was able to trend for two (2) days. Contrary to this, Yaa Pono goes viral anytime he composes a diss song. This presupposes that something is certainly wrong somewhere with the UPtown Energy CEO.

If you could remember, Yaa Pono somewhere in the year 2017 became the talk of Ghana when he released a song titled, “Gbee Naabu”, a Shatta Wale diss. He goes on to shoot a video for the diss song and it’s still relevant in the ears of music enthusiasts whenever “Gbee Naabu” is played. The ‘beef’ increased his social media following massively and revived his sinking fortunes in Ghana music for some days.
Aside, the artiste in question not long ago teamed up with Stonebwoy to serve Ghanaians with another heat titled, “Obiaa Wɔ Ne Master” and the song is simply lit according to music consumers.

Meanwhile, the same thing cannot be said about the Tema-based rapper when he cooks normal music which isn’t meant to malign colleague musicians. So, it’s in this light that social media users have concluded that Yaa Pono is probably destined to produce only defamatory or better still diss songs citing “Gbee Naabu” & “Obiaa Wɔ Ne Master” ft Stonebwoy as a case study.
