‘You did not go alone, for part of me went with you’ – Late Atsu’s wife pens emotionally laden tribute

Marie-Claire Rupio, the late Christian Atsu Twasam’s wife and the mother of her three children has written a heartfelt eulogy as her husband is laid to rest on Friday, March 17.

After a deadly earthquake in Turkiye, Atsu’s lifeless body was discovered on February 18 on Saturday. Over 50,000 people died.

Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to attend a burial and thanksgiving service being held on the State House’s Forecourt as a final farewell.

Marie-Claire Rupio’s tribute to her husband eulogises him. It reads in part: “You are always on my side. You were always so full of life.

“You seemed to be immortal. Your smile, your love, I see you in our children’s smile.”
