Freelance Journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has criticized the members of the Christian Counsel of Ghana for their recent actions towards the Muslim community.
Recall that few days ago, the spokesperson of the National Chief Imam, Sheik Aremeyaw Shaibu expressed concerns over what he describes as gang up against Muslims by big Christian organizations in Ghana.
His comments come after the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference and the Christian Council of Ghana have issued a communique throwing support for the Methodist Church-Ghana as regards the prevention of some students at Wesley Girls Senior High School to fast during Ramadan.
Reacting to this, the leaders of the Christian Counsel demanded an apology from him asking him to retract his statement.
Well, Manasseh Azure who was clearly unhappy about the statements from Christian Counsel called them immature and a group that lacked Wisdom.
According to Manasseh Azure, the Christian Counsel and Catholic Bishop’s Conference demonstrated immaturity and lack of Wisdom regarding the issue.
Several Ghanaians are however calling on various religious bodies to see to it that peace reigns in the country.
