“You need to sit up, the economy is very bad” – Mahama to Akufo-Addo

Former President John Mahama has urged President Akufo-Addo to as a matter of necessity tackle the issues plaguing the economy and get them fixed.

According to him, it’s high time, the president sat up, assessed the economy and began to work to deliver on what he promised Ghanaians.

Speaking on Radio XYZ today as part of his two-day tour of the Greater Accra Region, Mr Mahama opined that Ghana’s economy is nowhere close to what Akufo-Addo promised thus the earlier it was fixed, the better.

“I think this government needs to sit up and get this very bad economy fixed, this is not what they promised Ghanaians,” he said.

Mr Mahama’s comments come in the wake of fuel price hikes, unemployment and a heightened state of insecurity across the country.
