Youth Of NDC To Beat-Up Ofori Amponsah For ‘Advising’ John Dramani Mahama?

Ghanaian Highlife artist, Ofori Amponsah surprised everyone last week when he decided to dabble into politics by sending a word of advise to ex-president, John Dramani Mahama.

The ‘Otoolege’ singer stated emphatically that if he was John Mahama, he wouldn’t think about coming back to power after he announced his intention of leading his party and winning the flagbearer slot.

The multiple VGMA award winner also posited that he does not understand the rationale behind Mahama’s unexpected comeback as has contributed his quota o development of the country and needs to step aside for another person.

“If I were him, I will not contest again. He has done too much for us, he should rather be behind and push others.

Those advising him are different but if I were to advise him, he should channel his energy and knowledge to helping the young ones. That’s my opinion.

But if he thinks he has an unfinished job and wants to continue, that is in the hands of Ghanaians.

His comments has however infuriated the anger of some of the party faithfuls who have gone on radio and social media to fire him for daring to talk about the National Democratic Congress.

Some of them were of the opinion that because his music career is dead, he wants to use the ex- president’s name to revive it.
