Yul Edochie Reacts To Nigeria’s Independence Day, Says There Is Nothing To Celebrate When The Youth Are Suffering

2 mins

Nigerians are celebrating their 60th anniversary of Independence from their British colonial masters. While many Nigerians and celebrities are celebrating the day, actor and movie producer, Yul Edochie thinks otherwise.

According to him, there is nothing to celebrate about Nigeria especially when everything is upside down. He complained about the way things have increased, and how the youth are jobless and as result scam people for their daily bread.

Taking to his Twitter page, Yul explained that there is so much negative things happening in Nigeria now to be celebrating independence.

He refused to wish anyone including his colleagues a happy Independence when there is absolutely nothing worth celebrating.

He wrote; I cannot wish anyone a happy Independence when my people are not happy. What are we celebrating? Fuel price increase? Electricity tariff hike? Hardship? Bad roads? Killings everywhere? Jobless youths turned beggars? The list is endless. Speak the truth!! Nigerians are suffering.”

His post was applauded by many of his colleagues who feel Nigeria has a long way to go if they want to develop as a country.

Yul Edochie has been one of the celebrities who constantly bashes the government for it’s lackadaisical attitude towards it’s citizens. He seizes every opportunity to bash the incumbent Buhari Government just to let them know what a poor job they are doing.
