Asante Kotoko defeated RC Kadiogo 1-0 on Monday night in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round matchup.
The game was controlled by the Ghanaian champions, who generated multiple opportunities but failed to capitalize on them until Isaac Oppong scored the game-winning goal in stoppage time.
The superb winger created some space for himself in the area and scored the game-winning goal with just seconds remaining to give Kotoko a crucial first-leg lead.

The game took played in Cotonou, Benin at General Mathieu Kerekou Stadium, which was closed to spectators.

The game, which was initially set to take place on Saturday in Ouagadougou, was moved to Monday due to a late modification by the CAF.
Kotoko’s outstanding performance and well-deserved triumph in the last minutes of the game gave them the upper hand in the draw.
Next weekend, thousands of Kotoko supporters will fill Kumasi’s Baba Yara Stadium to see the return game.
