Black Swan Kpop; facts about the South Korean group

Black Swan is a South Korean girl group which operates under the DR Music. The group consists of four hardworking girls namely Youngheun, Farouk, Judy, Leia, and Hyeme.

When Did Black Swan Debut?

The group made its first debut on October 16, 2020 with the release of their first full-length album titled Goodbye RANIA.

Hyemi announced to the public via her group’s SNS that she’s the only one left in the group on June 26, 2020.

Due to this, it is not possible to release any album under the name RANIA but the group would start fresh under the name Black Swan and they will soon release new album with fresh members.

Youngheun revealed that she will join the Black Swan with Hyemi and other new members. She created this awareness after thanking her fans for their continued supports via her Instagram page on July 1, 2020.

Lisa also made her intention known to her fans and the public that she’s ever ready to join the new Black Swan group alongside her fellows on July 3, 2020.

Black Swan was appointed as the ambassadors or representatives of Pyeongchang-gun with K-TIGERS ZERO, to promote the country on July 7, 2020.

Why their group Album Delayed

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and it’s negative effects, the group’s album which was expected to be debuted in the early months of 2020 was postponed. The group alert the public on the postponing of the debut on September 16, 2020.

Black Swan debuted in October 2020 With the music video which was already filmed. Bunja Dongne Times revealed on September 25, 2020.

The group announced its release of their first album titled Close to Me. The announcement was made on September 30, 2020 and they released their long-awaited comeback after their hiatus on October 14, 2020.

However, on November 9, 2020, the group was hit with a disgraceful news of Hyemi alleged fraud of scamming an undisclosed male office worker of 50 million KRW to pay her rents, life expenses and credit card bills. The news was reported by the Dispatch media outlet.

Fortunately the following day, DR Music announced their intention to file a counter lawsuit against the individual.

Later on November 7, Black Swan revealed that the exclusive contract with Hyemi had ended but the agency will still represent her legally till the case is resolved. They also announced their hiatus temporal of Black Swan on that same day.
