Bridget McKenzie has held ministerial office in the Turnbull and Morrison governments, also serving as the party’s Senate leader since 2019.
Bridget McKenzie was a former teacher who taught physical education and mathematics for several years Yarram Secondary College, Gippsland, and later lectured in education at Monash University.
Bridget McKenzie served as Deputy Leader of the Nationals (2017) and was appointed Australia’s first female Agriculture Minister (2019). During that time, she introduced key policies such as the dairy code, as well as boosted biosecurity measures to help protect Australia’s primary industries.
