Ghana’s Second Lady, Samira Bawumia says a vote to bring back former President John Dramani Mahama to the seat of government will be the biggest political mistake.
In an address to some New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Samira Bawumia urged Ghanaians not to give the NDC flagbearer a second chance since that will be tantamount to grave retrogression of the nation.
According to a Pulse.com.gh report, Samira Bawuami said the President Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration has delivered the goods thus Ghanaians need to extend their mandate for another four years.
“This election is not about an individual, it is about our nation Ghana. It is not for you and me alone, it is about the future of Ghana. For the good job His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and my own Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the kind of work they have done and served Ghana, we have to consolidate our gains,” Mrs. Bawumia said in Twi.
“God intervened and blessed us by giving us His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. So, we will not make that mistake again. We will not move backward; we are moving forward.”
“When a certain President came, he gave all Ghanaians Bauxite to his brother, but President Akufo-Addo changed the narrative and he said he will let all Ghanaians benefit from Ghana’s resources. If you don’t want this, what do you want again?
The quiet Samira Bawumia has off-late, become the vociferous political voice of the governing New Patriotic Party. She has been speaking on several platforms with a determined aim of wooing voters in favour of the NPP to better their chances of winning in the December 7 general elections.
