After pictures of Pop Smoke’s alleged killer eating a substantial Pizza Hut meal with prisoners in prison appeared online, many people were outraged.
On Friday, October 7, Akademiks posted the images to his Instagram feed, showing the alleged shooter posing with the food.
In one picture, the youngster is shown in front of a mattress with a Pizza Hut box on it behind him; in the other, the teen is seen on his phone with a variety of opened pizza boxes on the mattress.
People expressed their displeasure with the photographs on social media and in Akademik’s comment area. The majority of comments claim that the 17-year-old shouldn’t be allowed to eat pizza to enjoy a Pizza Hut meal for taking Pop Smoke’s life.
“He killed the Woo he don’t get no pizza,” one person wrote while another said, “And He got the audacity to have all them damn toppings gang.”
A third person added: “Bro killed a man over a chain. Death penalty.”
On February 19, 2020, Pop Smoke was slain during an unsuccessful house invasion. Pop was using Airbnb when a group of masked men broke in and kidnapped a woman inside the house. Pop discovered the invaders and gave in to their demands that he surrender his valuables before attempting to fight them and being shot.
Six minutes after they arrived, police discovered Pop Smoke suffering from several gunshot wounds. A few hours after having surgery, he was sent to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was later declared deceased.
