Media Personality, Bujy Bikwa is said to have been granted R2000 bail after appearing at the Midrand Magistrate court on Wednesday, 6th October 2021.
The former radio presenter who has now made a mark in the podcast industry spent his entire weekend in cells after he physically assaulted SA rapper cum entrepreneur, Boity Thulo.
The podcaster was denied bail on Friday as his case was postponed to today which lead to his released which came with R2000 plus conditions of keeping his distance from the rapper and not to contact any of the witnesses who were there when the incident occurred.
Boity Thulo was however not at the hearing of Bujy Bikwa’s bail as she has deleted her statement addressing the incident on social media.
The statement reads, “It is with deep sadness to state that I was indeed an unfortunate victim of a vicious physical assault and I have since opened a case against the culprit, which I am following with a keen interest. I do not wish to comment on the matter any further (at this time).”
She added, “I respectfully request some space as I try to find a way to heal both physically and emotionally from this traumatic experience. I have all the faith in our Criminal Justice System and implore everyone to stand firmly against GBV.”
Reports suggest that witnesses indicated that they two were arguing about ancestors and Bujy Bikwa wanted to test if Boity’s ancestors would protect her from him which he threw a bottle at her and left the rapper bloodied and bruise which she was rushed to the hospital.
