Chris Hughton can’t manage Black Stars; he has no tactics – Super Obondede

Recently, outspoken lawmaker, Samuel Nartey George, revealed that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has settled on Chris Hughton as the new head coach of the Black Stars.

The senior national team has been without a head coach after Otto Addo left his position after Ghana’s early exit at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

However, Sam George, who is a member of parliament of Ningo-Prampram believes that the decision has been made long ago as the Ghana FA intends to appoint someone they can have ‘control’ over.

“That coaching job has already been given to Chris Hughton, so why are we wasting our time?” he questioned on Joy Prime.

“They have given it to him because they want someone they can manipulate, someone they can use to do their business, someone they can tell him to bring his team selection [with changes being made with regards to agency callups] regardless of how long the person has played or not played.

“People are using GFA to make money, they are using it to feed their family.”

In response to the news, sports journalist Super Obondede in the studios of Light FM posited that Chris Hughton cannot manage the Black Stars given his coaching abilities.

According to Super Obondede, Chris Hughton is only riding on his past affiliation with Tottenham Football Club; however, he knows nothing about contemporary coaching and its accompanying tactics.
