The Accra High Court has granted an out-of-court settlement request by Artiste Manager Lawerence Nana Asiamah Hanson, also known as Bullgod, in his defamation suit against Dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah, also known as Shatta Wale.
Bullgod sued Shatta Wale after a post on his social media page last November accused him of the murder of Fennec Okyere, the manager of musician Kwaw Kese.
Shatta Wale also leveled additional charges against Bullgod. Bullgod claims the allegations against him are malicious and defamatory, and he is suing Shatta Wale for damages.

However, Bullgod’s lawyer, Dr. Justice Srem-Sai, informed the court that the parties had discussed a settlement and that negotiations were underway.
The court directed the parties to file their witness statements at the last adjourned date. Dr. Srem-Sai told the court that his client was unable to comply with the directive due to the decision to settle out of court.
He, therefore, prayed for an adjournment and depending on the outcome of the negotiation, he may apply formally for an extension of time to file the witness statement.
Justice Joseph Agyemang Owusu, the judge, urged the parties to settle the case and adjourned it until April 18.
