Ghana’s most prolific striker, Asamoah Gyan recently shared a video of himself cautioning Christians to be sensible and stop giving their monies to pastors who in turn use it to buy luxurious properties.
The former Sunderland lethal frontman said most of the pastors who force members to ‘sow a seed’ are a bunch of fake people who only want to be rich at their expense. He went ahead to advise them to rather use the money to take care of the aged and the less privileged in society.
” I’m not saying don’t go to church but be wise. Don’t go and give your money to a pastor who will use it to go and buy a car,’ he said in the viral video. However, the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry, Rev. Owusu Bempah has fired some shots at the player for his ‘ignorance.’
According to him, what Gyan said was very wrong because just like he gets paid for playing football, pastors also have to reap from their pastoral activities. He really spoke at length to justify the money they take from their members (as a matter of fact, he said they don’t put a gun on their heads) and the video below has all the details.
