Ebony Reigns Slams TV3 For Censoring Part of Her ‘Sponsor’ Video Song

Currently, doing compilation of songs making headlines in the airwaves and parties in Ghana cannot be left out ‘Sponsor’ by the self-styled 90’s bad girl, Ebony Reigns.

However, it looks like the dancehall diva is not happy about TV3 playing her new song titled ‘Sponsor’ and editing certain portions of it. Thus, portion of the song where the musician says in Twi “menkɔ te a ɛyɛ me ya” which translates into English as “They complain it pains them” has been censored but Ebony thinks that should not been done because those parts are not explicit content as management of the TV station sees it.

On Facebook, Ebony wrote:

“My song sponsor talks about the realities of life and what is happening in our society.sponsor does not encourage young girls to go date older rich men.there is no single explicit lyrics in the song sponsor.menk) te’a 3y3 me ya is twi my local language.TV3 thanks for supporting my music by playing my sponsor video but please can you kindly remove that (censor)sound you put in the video when you are showing it?thank you#sponsor”
