Eric Gill death is still a major blow to his family and the entire world who appreciate his talent and work.

Born as Arthur Eric Rowton Gill, he was an English sculptor, letter cutter, typeface designer, and printmaker who  took birth on 22 February 1882 In Brighton a suburb of Sussex, England as the second of the 13 children of his parents, Reverend Arthur Tidman Gill and Rose King who was a former professional singer of light opera under the name Rose le Roi.

He had education at Chichester Technical and Art School, Westminster Technical Institute and the Central School of Arts and Crafts.

Eeic Gill at a young age, was a member of the Fabian Society, but later resigned. Initially identifying with the Arts and Crafts Movement, by 1907 he was lecturing and campaigning against the movement’s perceived failings.

Details about Eric Gill Death

On November 17, 1940, Eric Gill passed away at Harefield Hospital in Middlesex, England, after a fight with lung cancer. He was 58 years old at the time of his death.

Before his death, there were many controversies surrounding him with some being that he sexually abused his daughters and the family dog.
