Five Male Rappers Eno Barony Raps Better Than

Ceteris paribus, the rap game is a tough, male-dominated terrain and perhaps not the place for ladies but everywhere, including Ghana, female rappers have also been standing up with their own hooks and catching attention with their flow.

Now, a good deal of rap talent is being exhibited on the scene here at the moment and the name that easily pops up is nobody but Ruth Nana Serwaa Nyame affectionately called Eno Barony. Setting the record straight, Eno Barony has been underrated for too long but from all indications, this is her time!

After listening to her debut album christened, ‘Yaa Asantewaa‘, one could see that Eno Barony is far better in lyrical content and delivery than most of the male rappers who’ve been making ‘noise’ in Ghana music industry. A song titled ‘Fear No Man‘ on Yaa Asantewaa album says it all as it portrays the rapping dexterity of the rap lioness in Ghana. Fast forward to the agenda, below happens to be five selected male rappers Eno Barony raps better than all other things being equal.

Humans are fallible by nature but it becomes unpardonable when mistakes are repeated on countless number of times. Paedae, member of R2Bees music group, happens to be one artiste who keeps rapping off beat. Thus, his choice of lyrics are far remote comparably to the subject matter under consideration whenever you listen to his songs. The use of unnecessary and unfamiliar words that mostly the people in the western part would relate. His verse on ‘plantain chips’, ‘Last Supper Freestyle’, others, proves that Eno Barony is better forgetting all the hype.

M.Anifest has been tagged as an intelligent rapper in Ghana simply because his choice of lyrics are full of ‘Big English’. Meanwhile, that’s not the essence of rap especially in our part of the world. Most of his fans find it difficult to decode his lyrical content. Regardless of the grammar, he’s no where near Eno Barony when it comes to stage performance and delivery.

The Arab Money Gang (AMG) signee busrted into the music scene and won the hearts of many especially tertiary education students in Ghana because he was able to blend rap with swag. Truth be told, he’s a total flop in good content when his verses are analyzed with rap assessment tools. We recommend you listen to his verse on Grind Day Remix by Kwesi Arthur for personal assessment.

He prides himself as the numero uno lyricist in Ghana but that’s far from the truth. In 2017, Shatta Wale did everything possible to sharpen his delivery by putting him on different songs yet Pope Skinny proved to the world especially Ghanaians that rap isn’t his talent. He’s best known for presenting popular rap show, Kasahare Level, which airs Saturday nights on Mulitimedia-owned Adom FM. We believe he should focus on his job at Multimedia.

The rap trumpeter as he mostly go wayward to the extent of blowing trumpet with his mouth while rapping on a song. Flowkingstone over the years has been trying to compare his rapping dexterity with that of Sarkodie but in reality, Eno Barony raps better than him especially in content and delivery. Aside, Flowkingstone thrives on wordplay but most are far from the idea he wants to communicate.

Factually, the rap game over the years has been dominated by the males because of gender stereotype. Meanwhile, some of the females are far better in content and delivery comparably to the guys who’ve been riding on hype. From all indications, Eno Barony when given the chance will outshine most of the male rappers. Most of the guys have been lazy especially the aforementioned ones and we are hoping she never quench the Yaa Asantewaa’s spirit this time around.
