Gary Neville is a former professional player, coach, and pundit from the United Kingdom. He was born in Bury, Greater Manchester, England, on February 18, 1975. At the age of 16, he joined the Manchester United youth academy and began his football career.
Neville made his Manchester United debut in 1992 and played his entire professional career for the team. Neville amassed a plethora of victories while playing for Manchester United, including eight Premier League crowns, three FA Cup victories, and two UEFA Champions League victories.
Neville participated in three FIFA World Cup competitions and earned 85 caps for the England national team. In 2011, he gave up playing football professionally.
Neville focused on coaching and punditry after ending his playing career. He has coached Valencia CF as well as the England national team. Neville also frequently analyzes football games as a commentator and pundit for Sky Sports.
Neville has a commercial background in addition to his playing career. He shares ownership of Manchester’s Hotel Football, a football-themed hotel with a view of Old Trafford. Neville is also a founding member of Salford City FC, a Greater Manchester-based English Football League team.
