Ghanaian artiste who goes by the name Bright Ackwerh has sent a strong message to the government and people in high positions who uses their power to amass wealth for themselves and their generations with a sketch of the late Sir John näkëd in the Achimota forest.

The late Forest Commission boss, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, also known as Sir John passed away in 2020, and the will he left behind found its way on social media that shook Ghanaians to the core.

In his will, it emerged that he gave some portions of the Achimota forest to his relatives when reports had surfaced that the government is willing to sell the forest reserve.

The land that is supposed to be a forest reserve had a portion of it being given to an individual as personal property at a time when the Land Minister had shot down reports that the forest was been sold.

Reacting to the brouhaha, Bismark has sketched a näkëd photo of Sir John in the Achimota forest.

The art which connotates a deeper meaning was shared on Instagram on May 30, 2022.

The art captures the late Forest Commission boss covering his private part while standing in the middle of the Achimota forest in shock with a caption that read, “FOREST COVER. They say ‘don’t speak ill of the dead’ but when you live dishonourably not even death should save you.

“Ghana’s political elites continue to steal what is supposed to be sacred state resources and use these to generate wealth and social status for their friends and relatives and we are expected to respectfully take the piss. Art doesn’t solve this problem but it sure is cathartic.”

Speaking with GhanaWeb, the artist mentioned that his motive for putting the sketch together was driven by the praises the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo showered on Sir John after his passing which made him look like a saint.
