Ghanaian Reggae/Dancers star, Samini has revealed that he has been denied the chance to speak to students of Ebenezer Senior High School because of his dreadlocks.
Narrating his bizarre ordeal to Citinews in an interview Samini said the headmaster whose name was not mentioned throughout the conversation, found his hairstyle inappropriate and therefore kicked him out of the school when he and his team went over for an interaction as part of his school tour in Dansoman.
“The headmaster of Ebenezer Senior High School decided that because of my dreadlocks, I was not fit to speak to the students of the school which is in Dansoman where I live, which is 5 minutes from my parents’ home,” he said.
Samini said notwithstanding the setback, other schools received him warmly including a Roman Father who heads St. Margaret Mary school.
“At Saint Margaret Mary, I went there with my dreadlocks and I met the Reverend Father who is the assistant headmaster and then I went and met the headmistress herself. Then I went to the vocational school with my dreadlocks,” he further noted.
Samini is embarking on the tour ahead of his annual mega concert dubbed Saminifest.
