It becomes necessary to check your MTN number when you’ve forgotten it and trying to get it, especially when you bought the sim recently and haven’t memorized it yet.
There are two major ways to check your MTN number in Ghana and you could use any of these to know your number.

- Calling someone with the number.
Now to the most easiest way of knowing your MTN number.
Dial *156# on your phone and hit the call button.
It would load and you would then see your MTN number, which you can write down or take a screenshot of the screen if you are using a smartphone.
Good. Now you know your MTN number.
The other way is to call someone but this would be easier if you have airtime or that the person is close to you, so they can call out the number for you after calling or simply flashing their line.
So most people often settle for using the *156# code to check their MTN number.
