Some people spend a relatively limited period of time executing a job and it is not often some mediocre work but one that is laced with perfection.
But this often comes not on some silver platter or some luck, but just some hard work and years of studying went into perfecting what they do in relatively limited time.
We are at a point in time where one’s impact at something is not calculated based on the amount of time they put into something but they actual work done.
What an individual would spend hours doing, another person could do just the same thing in a matter of minutes.
It is in this regard that a Nigerian Twitter user known as Okunrin Meta has said that if he is able to do a great job in 30 minutes, it is because he has spent years on learning and perfecting that job and that is why he is able to do it in 30 minutes, else he would have spent more time.
He believes that when he is to be paid for the work done, it will not be based on the minutes he worked but on the years that he spent perfecting that craft which has enabled him to do it effortlessly insuch limited period of time.
“If i do a job in 30 minutes it’s simply because i have spent years learning how to make it in 30 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes,” Okunrin Meta wrote on Twitter.
His thought and assertion could be the reason why people often charge so much for work they will do in just about 10 minutes.
Below is the tweet by Okunrin Meta;
