Freda Rhymz born Freda Baffour Awuah is a talented and creative rapper and songwriter from Ghana who makes music in three languages (English, Twi, and Pidgin).

The type of music she creates ranges across Afrobeats, Hip-hop, Hiplife and Highlife. Born and bred in Sunyani, Brong Ahafo Region, she is the first female rapper and artist to emerge as the winner of MTN Hitmaker.

According to her, she had always dreamt of becoming a flight attendant but after the Hitmaker win in 2016, she has made up her mind to do music.

“Growing up I have always wanted to be an actress or a flight attendant and not a musician, I love acting so much, I use to entertain my friends when I was in high school, I never dreamt of becoming a musician”

Freda Rhymz added that her dream of becoming an actress or a flight attendant was crashed when one Boham identified a musical talent in her when she moved to Accra five years ago.

She revealed this in an interview with Arnold Mensah of Vibes in 5.

She’s known for songs like ‘I Dey Go’, ‘Jammin’, ‘Sing My Song’.
