Inna Patty, the CEO of Exclusive Events Ghana has come under heavy criticisms by some sections of the public after an exclusive story was published on how she allegedly exploits the winners of the beauty pageant show Miss Ghana, a franchise that she currently owns.
The exclusive stories were first published by Ghanacelebrities.com and several other websites picked up the story and since then it’s become one of the major discussions on the Social media space, with several others calling on Inna Patty to respond to those allegations.
Inna Patty was expected to grant an exclusive interview to Abeiku Santana on Okay FM On Monday 18th December, to react to the allegations leveled against her by 4 former Miss Ghana beauty queens but the interview couldn’t hold because Inna Patty refused to attend the interview as agreed, for obvious reasons.
In the series of articles that were written by Chris Vincent and published on GC, the four former beauty queens of Miss Ghana told the blogger that, Inna embezzled monies they raised and made turned them into perpetual beggars.
With all of these damning allegations been leveled at Inna Patty and her Exclusive events Ghana, her lawyers at Akuffo-Addo, Prempeh & Co have issued a press statement describing the allegations leveled against their client as baseless and categorically untrue.
The statement went ahead to state that, “allegations are inspired by malice and mischief and only calculated to ridicule, embarrass, disparage and bring our client’s enviable reputation into dispute”
Interestingly, their statement failed to mention the site that EXCLUSIVELY published the allegations the former beauty queens made, which is Ghanacelebrities.com but rather chose to term them as ‘Social Media Bloggers’.
It’s very funny, I must say that the lawyers for Inna Patty failed to do a good research to know where those allegations were coming from. Those allegations were not published by ‘Social Media Bloggers’—There’s nothing like Social Media Bloggers–Like TF?
Well, with this statement out now, we can now understand why Inna Patty failed to turn up for her interview on Okay FM–Her lawyers cautioned her not to talk to the press yet.
The latter part of the press statement reads “We are Instructed by our clients to inform the general public, media houses-both print and electronic- and social media bloggers to desist from the publication of the malicious and defamatory materials in circulation. Any publisher of these or similar matter shall be held fully responsible for them as we hold firm instructions from our clients to institute legal actions against any such person to vindicate the names of our clients and to recover punitive damages for those publications”
This is going to be very interesting and I can’t wait to see how things unfold. The media is not just cooking up stories, the media is only publishing the revelations of four former Miss Ghana beauty queens and in the press statement, it’s shocking to realize, they did not even make mention of the former beauty queens who made the allegations. —All of those allegations came from the horse’s own mouth.
Well, they would have a lot of work to do then if they want to focus on ‘threatening’ the media. As far as we know, the story has been published on more than 300 websites across the world including the BBC.
I find it hard to fathom, what the lawyers for Inna wants the media to do? To stop writing about what others are saying because they say so? So if more and more beauty queens, come out to share their ordeal with the media, they don’t want any media to publish it because of what exactly?
When A-Plus was making allegations about some staff at the presidency being corrupt, didn’t the media publish it? The matter was investigated to ascertain the truth, so if the media is making publications of what your own former beauty queens are saying about you, why direct your frustrations at the media and not the girls making those allegations?
Dear Inna Patty, give us (Social media bloggers as your lawyers have described us) a ‘BLAKE’
Anyways, we are waiting for Inna Patty to speak!
