Mr Addae Andrews who is affectionately known as “Carboni” of Jachie Pramso Senior High School fame in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region is battling kidney complications for the past twelve months.
It has now emerged that Mr. Addae Andrews needs two hundred and thirty thousand Ghana Cedis (230,000ghc) before he can be flown out of the country for treatment.
This has sent shock waves into the spines of his family members and colleagues alike as he has been subject to three dialysis each week.
In the meantime, his former schoolmates at the Offinso College of Education have contributed some amount towards his medical expenses. However, that is very far from what Carboni needs at this crucial moment.
In other related news, one Mr. Addae Andrews’ seniors at the Offinso College of Education by name Mr. Solomon Acheampong has received over ten thousand Ghana Cedis (10,000ghc) for his surgery at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
This raises the questions about where GNAT, NAGRAT and Ghana Education Service puts the welfare of its employees.
The Social Security and National Insurance Trust on the other hand have also failed to collate rise contributions of members in order to raise funds for situations like this.
