Jamaican legendary Reggae/Dancehall musician Wayne Wonder says Stonebwoy is peerless when it to Reggae/Dancehall genre not just in Ghana, but on the African continent. This was made known by MC Dementor, a Ghanaian musician (and a staunch supporter of NDC) who is based in Colombia.
MC Dementor posted a video where Wayne was heaping praises on Stonebwoy. The post was captioned: “I repeat, in Jamaica the only dance hall/reggae artiste they know from Africa amongst this generation is Stonebwoy. U can argue if you never been to Jamaica before.. Dance hall LEGEND, Wayne Wonder confirms. Go to vacations to Jamaica don’t mean Jamaicans recognize you lol.”
MC Dementor also revealed he is a big fan of the Bhim Nation boss: “I listen to Shattas songs as well. They are nice. I won’t compare them. I was only praising Stonebwoy for his good works and what I saw and heard in Jamaica on Thursday. I was actually amazed at how people in Jamaica reacted when Stonebwoy had the nomination at the BET. Could u believe there was a party called Stonebwoy bet party inside Kingston, Jamaica. And that was the reason I posted the video to praise him because he’s doing great,” he said.
Wayne Wonder’s real name is Von Wayne Charles. His does Jamaican reggae fusion (specifically reggae/R&B) He is fondly remembered in Ghana for his Bounce Along (No Letting Go) song in 2003.
