John Elway was born alongside his twin sister Jana Elway on June 28, 1960, in Port Angeles, Washington.
The sister Lee Ann, who was a year older than the twins, was part of the family of five. The following year, they relocated to Aberdeen, Washington, where Jack Elway, their father, spent five seasons as the head football coach at Grays Harbor Community College, a junior college.
