In the light of all that he has gone through, many are those who think he should hush and concentrate on how to rebrand his image and come back for good – but the ever audacious communication savvy, Kwasi Kyei Darkwa aka KKD, can’t be gagged by any situation or anybody in this world.
Having battled for justice to clear his name on an allegation brought against him by one Ewureffe Orleans Thompson, for almost 5 months, fate came face to face with destiny – the ace broadcaster, was released last week 24th April, 2015, by the State on grounds of Nolle Prosequi – unwilling to pursue or unwilling to prosecute a case.
KKD, who strongly holds the conviction that all that he went through was ill orchestrated, has expressed his opinion as a free man. “Whatever some meant for evil, God meant it all for good.” Out of suspicion, he continued: “Planted by a false allegation, watered by lies and deception, cultivated by hate, malice and perversion but where is the harvest?”
His remand, one that will remain indelible on his memory till his dying day, is a bother to him. He states, “Incarcerated for 19 days without charge, health worsened by poor conditions but I kept my soul lifted, head up and tired eyes open so I may get a peak into what many good people suffer for breaking no law whatsoever, feed the sad and lonely behind bars and help a few inmates get their dignity and freedom.”
Ending, he thanked all and sundry who stood by him in his time of trial. “Thank you for your prayers and kindness through this four month-long turned persecution. I am grateful to every soul that reached out with a kind word, sent help, visited, prayed for or stood by me.”
He is also set to attend praise and thanksgiving services in Sakumono at The Christ Foundation Family Church near the Golf Course at 9:30 come Sunday 3rd May, 2015. Cardinal Leslie Tex Buabasah and Prof. Lawrence Tetteh will be sharing the word of God. Feel free to attend. Until then…MOTWUM!!
