Veteran Ghanaian actor, Kofi Adjorlolo who revealed in an explosive interview few days ago that some Ghanaian producers are owing him, has finally released the names of the ‘offenders.
Days ago, the actor did not mince words when he angrily called some producers for owing him amounts ranging from ¢1,000 to ¢3,000, a revelation which generated so much debate thereafter.
In an interview with a journalist from JoyNews, Kofi said:
“Some of the producers in Ghana here, they should respect themselves…old man like me, they call me to come and work and they can’t pay me.
“About seven producers in this country owe me monies…why? And then I’m sitting at home, I’m hungry, and then when I’m sick too nobody pays attention,” he fumed. “Look we have elderly people lying down on their sickbeds and these producers owe them. Actors in Ghana here know what I’m talking about, these producers don’t pay!”
In a new development, Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) has said the actor has given them the names of the defaulting producers.
The association boss has disclosed that Kofi Adjorlolo has finally brought the producers names but those two people aren’t part of the association.
James Aboagye, president of the association, in an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz said;
“He has given me two names so far and those producers are not even FIPAG members. We would issue a statement. We have to let people know.”
He explained that plans are underway to have the producers pay the money.
