Newly-appointed head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Kosta Papic has met with the technical team and playing body of the club as he prepares to take charge of affairs for the remainder of the 2020-21 football season.
The Serbian was officially announced as Hearts’ new helmsman on Tuesday and, is expected to take charge when the Phobians host Karela FC in a Ghana Premier League (GPL) Matchday Four encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday evening.
He met with the technical team and playing body led by Coach Edward Odoom at Tuesday’s training session to observe proceedings before officially taking charge of affairs ahead of the clash with Karela United on Friday.
Coach Papic is expected to handle the training session on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon to prepare the boys for the encounter with the league leaders.
Hearts will look for a first win of the campaign after drawing one and losing the other of the two games the team has played this season.
Coach Edward Odoom was in charge of the first two games against AshantiGold SC which ended in a 2-2 in Accra and the encounter with Inter Allies which Hearts lost 0-1 in a capital derby last Sunday.
The club has an outstanding league game to be played against Aduana Stars at Dormaa Ahenkro on a date to be announced by the Ghana Football Association later.
