Kwaku Manu has applauded seasoned actor Agya Koo for the role he played in saving the movie industry from dying following the emergence of Nigerian movies and needs to be praised.
To his best knowledge, Kumawood was built on the back of Agya Koo. He told Fiifi Pratt on Accra based Kingdom Plus 101.9Fm that, Agya Koo is a legend and needs to be celebrated as such.
“Indeed, Agya Koo has done some! He’s a legend” he said.
Kwaku Manu further said: “We must give him a standing ovation for taking the local movie to a different level when the industry was really struggling to grow.
As a reminder, Kofi Adu, also known as Agya Koo, is an actor and comedian from Ghana. He has appeared in over 200 Ghanaian movies including Obaatanpa, Away Bus, Black Star, and Ma Tricki Wo.
